The Ston Easton & Clapton community website exists to keep local people informed about what's going on in our villages. After serving the Ston Easton community for several years, we are now extending our reach to include Clapton. We have a combined Parish Council, so it seems sensible to share the website too!
Please send any events, news items, comments or ideas to admin@stoneaston.org.uk

As the new season rapidly approaches we have found that we have lost some valued players due to other commitments.
If you would like to join our squad for our Saturday afternoon league games, please either call Andy Powell on 01761 241513 or 07799416443 or just turn up to training at Ston Easton playing field at 6pm on Wednesday evenings.
This team has been together for many many years now and it would be a shame for it to fold due to a lack of players.
Our wine tasting evening in the village hall was well supported, despite sub zero temperatures, thank you very much for turning out. We raised £750 plus a percentage of wine orders placed, which all helps towards the upkeep of Ston Easton Church – amazing what a few drinks can do! see full article »

Village Voices have had a very busy Spring and Summer season.
We really enjoyed appearing at The Chewton Mendip Art and Flower Festival Concert, where we welcomed for the first time, playing for us our new pianist Barbara Fox.
Litton and Chewton Mendip fetes were a joy to do and we hope they will encourage new members to join us.
We are now looking forward to presenting some new pieces at The Ston Easton Park Village Day on 4th September. see full article »
The final meeting of our first year was a social occasion, when some of the committee bravely opened their gardens to members. The evening ended with drinks and an American Supper.
It has been an interesting year with monthly meetings, covering topics from plant hunters and the origins of our garden plants to cultivating vegetables, the importance of bees and making good compost!
We are very grateful to have had support from the Somerset Federation of Gardening Clubs, and several speakers who gave their services free of charge to help us get started. At the end of the year were thrilled to have a membership of 65! see full article »
What a pleasure to welcome so many people to mark the special day on 29th April.
We all watched the wedding ceremony on the big screen in a packed hall and more families joined festivities later to try out crafts and games. After the ceremony, Kathleen Hippisley proposed the toast to William and Kate, and Fergus the Tractor and Carmelo & Sons treated us to ice creams and rides - as is customary for a royal celebration! The day was rounded off nicely with a high standard of sheep racing – a first for Ston Easton!
A sum in excess of £1,000 was raised for the Red Room Pre-School, with extra money being raised for Clare Hall Residents Fund and the Cricket Club. see full article »
11th December 2010 - Village Voices "Friends and Family Christmas Concert".
It was with much excitement and anticipation that the Village Voices Community Choir, 30+ strong, gathered in the Ston Easton Village Hall to perform their first Christmas concert.
The Hall had been decorated by members of the choir with lots of twinkling fairy lights and beautiful floral displays earlier in the day. The Village Hall committee had kindly erected a magnificent tree and all was set for the evening event. see full article »
