Get Active Ston Easton

Get Active Ston Easton is a project to refurbish the derelict tennis court and unused Red Room play area. The facilities are adjacent to the Village Hall, but the project was set up as an independent venture to simplify the processes of fund-raising and general management.

We have now completed the sports court refurbishment and the play area (with help from village based demolition/ groundworks contractors RM Penny).

The multi use sports court offers the opportunity to play a variety of sports for all ages, to include: tennis, netball, basketball and 5-a-side football. It has also proved to be a great place for younger residents to ride a bike, scooter or skateboard.

Thanks to the energy and commitment (including work by floodlight) of a number of local residents, the play area has been re-grassed and the fencing has been refurbished. New wooden play equipment has been installed and we now have an area for the children of our village and surrounding villages. It provides a facility of interest for all the children of Ston Easton, and acts as a meeting area for families with a safe outdoors space with activities.
