Our Choir Leader and Musical Director
Our leader, Kerrie, studied music at Bath Spa University specialising in voice, before completing a PGCE in primary education. Whilst her day job is a primary school teacher, she keeps herself busy in her ‘spare time’ as a musical director of the award winning Bristol Musical Youth Productions and most recently as the new choir leader of Village Voices.
“After a busy Monday at school, a session singing Rutter, Chilcott and other choral favourites is just as therapeutic as a large glass of wine! Within the Village Voices we have a wonderful mix of singers, professions and personalities, but we all have one thing in common – we love to sing. We enjoy a broad range of repertoire, making music together, but we are also driven to make a good sound.”
We have in the past arranged or supported fund raising concerts which enabled us to make donations to a number of local charities including Air Ambulance, Orchard Vale Trust, Bristol Children’s Hospital, Promise Mentoring.
